Millennia Housing Management, Ltd. (MHM) is proud to announce that Lisa Spangler, Property Manager at Wellston Pride Manor, has been named the 2020 Multifamily Housing Site Manager of the Year for an Elderly Property by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development.

This national award recognizes housing professionals who provide residents with exemplary customer service and a great place to live. According to the USDA Rural Development website, the selections were based upon tenant satisfaction with the manager/maintenance person, and a combination of curb appeal of the property, timeliness and competency of maintenance, accurate and complete recordkeeping with no incidents of noncompliance, and actions of the manager that were rated consistently above and beyond the requirements of the position.

Lisa has been with MHM for five years. In 2018, Lisa and her staff were recognized as Senior Property of the Year in 2018 at The Millennia Companies®’ Annual Conference.
“Lisa Spangler is a dedicated Property Manager; she puts the needs of her residents first. Many times, Lisa has gone above and beyond the title of Property Manager to make sure the residents have the resources they need,” says Kathy Jo Caudill, regional manager.

Lisa offers residents a sense of community through holiday dinners, summer cookouts, and innovative activities. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Lisa has orchestrated events such as socially distanced hallway bingo. She is well connected with community organizations like Area on Aging, Jackson County Metropolitan Housing and the food bank to ensure that residents have the necessary services. Lisa works closely with Sojourners, an organization that houses individuals with disabilities; she goes out of her way to locate housing essentials for those in need and is known to purchase cleaning, toiletries and laundry items.
Those with whom she works describe her as dedicated, caring, and compassionate, putting the needs of her residents first. These characteristics are shown through the respect she has for her residents at Wellston Pride Manor.

“Lisa consistently demonstrates a genuine spirit of care and assistance to our residents in the countless ways she goes above and beyond with exceptional service,” says Frank T. Sinito. “This national recognition awarded to her by the USDA Rural Development Multi-Family Housing program is in no small way indicative of her outstanding contribution to the Wellston Manor community. We congratulate her on this impressive honor and thank her for her commitment to our residents.”
